Overview
Josef Bloch, a suspended soccer player, picks up a girl in Vienna strangles her, and escapes to a small town where he passively waits, reading newspaper accounts of the police dragnet that is slowly closing in on him. Wenders' second feature film is an adaptation of Peter Handke's first novel
