Overview

Bhola and his younger sister, Belu, are orphans. Kamala Chachi, an abusive distant relative, forces the children to beg for money on the streets of Bombay. Their only friend is John, a bootlegger, who convinces the children to give up begging and earn money by shining shoes. Problems arise when John is arrested
