Overview
This heartfelt documentary was made by the daughter of one of the second generation Japanese-American soldiers. Their life story was unfolded through remembrances and archival footage. As the soldiers recalled, it was not easy to be immigrants in the States. There were a lot of laws and regulations barring the immigrants to mingle with the whites before WWII. During WWII, these sons of the Japanese immigrants, however, were drafted to the army to serve the nation, they have proved their courage and loyalty in the fiercest battlefields as they fought to overcome the stigma of Japan's attack on Pearl Horbour. Their bravery and their identity as Americans were acknowledged by the then president Ronald Reagan in 1988
