Overview
Adeline sings every night in a carousing Hoboken beer garden owned by her father. Content with her simple life, she ignores the pleas of her songwriter boyfriend Sid to come to New York to star in a Broadway show. But as fate would have it, Sweet Adeline does indeed find herself drawn to the Great White Way, taking the lead role in Sid's show, creating a musical sensation and even getting herself caught in the middle of a Spanish-American War spy plot
